How we source and verify program data.
Affiliate program data is notoriously unreliable across the industry. Commission rates change without notice. Programs shut down quietly. Listed "facts" go stale for years. AffiliatesML is built around continuous verification — here's exactly how the catalog stays accurate.
Sourcing
Listings enter the catalog through four paths: (1) our continuous-discovery system that monitors public-web signals for new program launches; (2) hand-curation by our research team from public network catalogs; (3) brand-submitted listings via our submission form; (4) member-claimed listings via the claim flow.
We do not republish protected data from affiliate-network APIs. Every commission rate, cookie window, and restriction we publish is sourced from publicly accessible affiliate landing pages or verified directly with the program operator.
Verification
Every listing carries a "last verified" timestamp visible on the program page. Verification means a human or automated check confirmed the commission, cookie window, network, restrictions, and primary URL match the program's own current public communications.
Listings re-verify on a regular cadence; high-traffic programs more frequently than low-traffic ones. Member-reported discrepancies trigger an immediate manual review.
Reviews + ratings
Reviews come exclusively from members who have verified affiliate relationships with the listed program. We require submission of a redacted payment screenshot or affiliate dashboard screenshot before counting a review toward the displayed rating. Submitters can choose anonymous public display.
Independence
AffiliatesML earns referral commissions when users sign up to networks or programs through outbound links. These commissions never influence ranking, inclusion, or written editorial content. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled "Sponsored" wherever they appear.
